Overview

Student Commons

As you walk the hallways of St. Agnes, you'll see our girls living out the Dominican pillars everywhere. Whether it's on the hallway floor, or in the back of the library, at a cafeteria table, or in the rotunda, our girls find a way to commune, pray, preach, and study together. Without a dedicated space, they are most resilient in their search for a place to collaborate and relax.

In 2011, students requested a student lounge and social area, a place where they can grab a cup of coffee and set up their laptop and be in community. Our school is a second home for our students, and we want them to feel as though they have a place here. We are delighted to be able to accommodate this request through this campaign.

Each student will be welcome in the Student Commons. All Academy women will benefit from this incredible space.
Each day I'm surrounded by people who genuinely value me and would do anything to support me.
- Current Student
  • Our vision is to transform our current auditorium into an 8,500 square foot student commons. With clever renovation, this space will live a second life with lively student and faculty/staff activity.
  • Our current stage will convert into the Arthur W. Buckley Theatre, a theatre classroom and small performance space.
  • Expanded square footage and a better location for our cramped spirit store will allow for sales of critical school supplies and a better selection of SAA branded apparel.
