At St. Agnes, we understand the importance of gathering as one. Whether it's celebrating Mass together, watching an Academy tradition like Madonna Day, or cheering on our performers during a great show—we want to offer this experience to all of our community. Together.
Our campus opened with a student body of 400. Today, our student community numbers more than 900. Our auditorium has a limited capacity to serve current and future needs for Mass, assemblies, and performing arts. Space and code issues present us with limitations on school-wide gatherings.
The construction of our new Sr. Jane Meyer, O.P. Hall, named for an alum, by an alum, will benefit each student on our campus. With this 1,300 seat multi-purpose venue, all can comfortably participate in the rich traditions of becoming Academy women, along with their family and friends. Our approximately 300-seat Maureen O'Gara Hackett Balcony will double as a critical meeting space for students, faculty/staff, and parents.
Though we've outgrown our existing auditorium for its current purpose, we understand the value of preservation by utilizing existing space and materials in line with our mission. Transforming the current auditorium into our Student Commons is an exciting step in our big plan.
